October Concert Recap

Wow, what a great crowd, and what a great sound for our final official concert of the 2012 Sequim City Band season.

A near capacity audience was there to enjoy the Sequim City Band perform.

We would again thank audience member, Doug Munson for taking some video of the band, and of the superb High School Vocal group which opened the concert for us with the Star Spangled Banner.

Sequim City Band – October Concert Playlist

Though our concert season is finished for 2012, there is still an opportunity to hear the Sequim City Band perform for the public once more this year.  In just a couple weeks, on Saturday November 24th, (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) the Sequim City Band will be performing on the Corner of Washington St. and Sequim Ave. to welcome Santa from 11AM – Noon.

This year the band is moving to year round rehearsals and will be having open rehearsals during the months of November and December. If you have played a concert band instrument at the high school level and wish to give the band a try, please join the band on Monday evenings for open rehearsals from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the James Center in the Water Reuse Demonstration Site north of Carrie Blake Park. Parking is at 563 N Rhodefer Rd. In order to have music ready, kindly call 360-207-4722 and leave a message with your name and your instrument. September Concert

With an eclectic mix of music, our September concert was a success.  With some beautiful weather and a great crowd.

Jesse Reynolds guest conducted the first half of the concert with Sanford Feibus taking the baton to finish the second half with an inspiring solo from Bob Hagan, the crowd singing along to America from West Side Story, and of course, some toe tapping marches.

Our next concert will be October 28th in the Sequim High School auditorium.
